This is the first-ever portrait of Charles III on Royal Canadian Mint coinage and this left-profile relief depicts the monarch without a crown on his head. The effigy was designed by Steven Rosati.

On the reverse of the 2025 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf Coin is a depiction of the sugar maple leaf. An iconic Canadian emblem, this natural design was created in 1979 by Walter Ott and features on all versions of the Canadian Maple Leaf bullion coins.
