Description

** The current design of the US dime bears a bust of President Dwight Eisenhower and the torch of Liberty. This design was introduced to the series shortly after President Eisenhower’s death in office and launched with a 1946 date mark. From that year until 1964, all Eisenhower Dimes in production had 90% silver content. Today, you can purchase 90% Silver Eisenhower Dimes in a $1 Face Value allotment online from Royalty Precious Metals.

Coin Highlights:

  • Available to you in a bag of 10 coins!
  • Date marks include only 1946 to 1964!
  • Contains .715 Troy oz of actual silver content.
  • The face value of $.10 (USD) per coin is fully backed by the US government.
  • President Dwight Eisenhower is on the obverse.
  • A torch is flanked by branches of oak and laurel on the reverse.
  • Please note we cannot guarantee you will receive all matching date marks.

All of the 90% Silver Eisenhower Dimes in this $1 Face Value allotment come from the Eisenhower Dime design. While this design is still in use today on the 10-cent denomination, all coins issued from 1965 onward have the new cupro-nickel alloy. As such, the only coins you can receive in this listing come with date marks from 1946 to 1964. These are the years in which the US Mint issued the dime with 90% silver content and 10% copper. The coins in this listing will ship in a bag and we cannot guarantee which specific date marks in that range you will receive. You could receive coins all with the same date mark or with varying date marks.

President Dwight Eisenhower is featured on the obverse side of the 90% Silver Eisenhower Dimes. The design captures Eisenhower in left-profile relief. The dime was chosen as the denomination on which to honor Eisenhower because he had helped launch the March of Dimes effort during the 1930s.

A torch is depicted on the reverse of the 90% Silver Eisenhower Dimes. This design is simplistic in nature and features Liberty’s torch with branches of oak and laurel flanking the design element on either side.
