The 2021 release of the British Britannia bullion coins from the Royal Mint introduced four new security elements on the reverse of both the silver and gold coins. These include two features that adjust visually as you change your viewing angle. In the background, there is a wave texture motion that changes as you view the coin from different angles. There is also a latent security image that changes from a padlock to a trident as you adjust your viewing angle. The other features are the tincture lines on the Union Jack shield and the micro-text engraving around the design field.

All of these 2022 1 oz British Gold Britannia Coins are offered to you individually and in bulk. When you buy individual coins, each one arrives with a plastic flip. Multiples of 10 coins come in plastic tubes, while multiples of 100 are in mint-sealed boxes. All of the coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

On the obverse of 2022 British Gold Britannia Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief. Designed by Jody Clark in 2015, this design is the fifth of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign to grace the surface of British coinage. In this portrait, the Queen is shown at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem.

The reverse field of 2022 1 oz Gold Britannia Coins features an image of Britannia. Since 1672, Britannia has consistently featured on British coinage. This design was created in 1987 by Philip Nathan for the debut of this bullion series. It casts Britannia as a defender of the realm. She stands along a rocky outcrop with a Union Jack shield and olive branch in one hand, with a trident in the other.
